Description
PageProofer is the easiest way to share feedback, request changes and report bugs about your website, on your website.
We took the simplicity of sticky notes and combined it with intuitive bug tracking to create a simple yet powerful visual feedback tool. No spreadsheets. No endless email threads. No browser extensions. Your team and your clients click on the part of the page they want to talk about, type a note, and get back to work.
Install the plugin, paste in your site API key, and the PageProofer button appears on your site. There’s no code to touch and nothing for your clients to install.
How it works
- Click the PageProofer button in the corner of your website.
- Click anywhere on the page to leave a note. The element under your cursor is highlighted and the note sticks to it.
- Assign, prioritize and track the note on your project dashboard until it’s done.

Features
- Feedback pinned to the exact element. Notes stick to the element and page they’re about, so nobody has to describe where the problem is.
- One-click screenshots and screen annotations. Draw anywhere on the page and capture a pixel-perfect screenshot.
- Screen recordings with voice. Record a video, and draw on the page while you talk. The ink fades away on its own.
- Bug reports that debug themselves. Every note records the browser, version, OS, screen size, scroll position, language, timezone, recent console errors and failed network requests.
- Guest feedback, no login required. Clients and visitors can leave feedback without creating an account. You can also limit PageProofer to invited users only.
- @mentions, comments and attachments. Loop in anyone on the project, keep the conversation on the note, and attach docs, images and PDFs.
- #tags and due dates. Type # to tag a note, then filter by tag. “Due today” and overdue badges keep deadlines visible.
- Project dashboard. See every note across your site, then search, filter and set priorities and statuses from Todo to done.
- Keyboard shortcuts. N for a new note, R to record, L for the notes list.
- Works everywhere. Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop, tablet and mobile. The widget runs in its own Shadow DOM, so it won’t clash with your theme or page builder.
- AI agent access (MCP). Let Claude Code, Cursor and other AI agents read your notes and screenshots, comment, and update status, priority or assignee.

External services
This plugin connects your website to PageProofer (https://pageproofer.com), a visual feedback and bug tracking service. A PageProofer account is required.
When you have saved a site API key and the “Show feedback widget” option is turned on, the plugin loads the PageProofer widget script from https://app.pageproofer.com/embed/{your-site-api-key} on every front-end page of your site. Nothing is loaded in the WordPress admin, and nothing is loaded until a key has been saved.
When the script loads, the visitor’s browser sends your site API key and the address of the page being viewed to PageProofer, which uses them to check that the site is allowed to use PageProofer. When someone leaves a note or comment, PageProofer receives the note text, any screenshots, recordings or files they attach, the page URL and the selected element, and technical details about their browser and device: browser and version, operating system, screen size, scroll position, language, timezone, and recent console errors and failed network requests. You can turn off console capture for each site in PageProofer.

FAQ
-
Do I need a PageProofer account?
-
Yes. The plugin connects your WordPress site to PageProofer, and you’ll need an account to collect and manage feedback. Every plan starts with a free 15 day trial, no credit card required.
-
Do my clients need to create an account or install anything?
-
No. With guest feedback turned on, anyone visiting your site can leave a note without an account or browser extension. If you’d rather keep feedback to your team, you can limit PageProofer to invited users.
-
Check that Show feedback widget is ticked in Settings PageProofer, and that your site’s domain is listed under Site Domains in PageProofer. The widget only loads on domains you’ve added. Use one domain per line, leave out port numbers, and use
*as a wildcard for subdomains. If you use a caching or performance plugin, clear its cache after saving. -
Does it work on staging, local and password-protected sites?
-
Yes. Add each domain (for example
localhost,staging.example.comandexample.com) to the same PageProofer site and all the feedback stays together in one place. -
Does it show up in the WordPress admin or the block editor?
-
No. The widget is only loaded on the front end of your site, where your visitors see it.
-
Will it conflict with my theme or page builder?
-
The PageProofer widget runs inside its own Shadow DOM, so your theme’s styles don’t affect it and it doesn’t affect your theme. It’s loaded with
defer, so it won’t block your page from rendering. -
Can I use PageProofer on more than one site?
-
Yes. Every plan includes unlimited websites. Install the plugin on each site and use that site’s API key.
-
Which browsers and devices are supported?
-
Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop, tablet and mobile.
-
Which tools does PageProofer integrate with?
-
Asana, Basecamp, GitHub, Jira, Slack and Trello, plus AI agents such as Claude Code and Cursor through MCP.
-
How much does PageProofer cost?
-
Plans start at $39/month, with a free 15 day trial and two months free on annual plans. See pricing for details.
-
Who owns my data?
-
You do. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
