TrustLane Manual Gateways

Description

Many online store categories (research chemicals, peptides, supplements, and other high-risk niches) get instantly rejected or banned by automated payment processors such as PayPal, Stripe, Klarna, or Affirm. TrustLane Manual Gateways solves this by adding four independently configurable manual/offline payment methods to your store’s checkout, with no bannable API connection involved.

Key Features

  • Four separate payment methods you can enable individually: Venmo (Manual), PayPal (Friends & Family), Cash App / Zelle, and Direct Invoicing / Phone.
  • Per-method settings: custom title, description, account identifier (handle/email/phone), a bold warning notice, payment instructions, custom field label, and an optional icon.
  • Mandatory reference field at checkout (e.g. “Sender Username / Transaction ID”) with server-side validation — orders can’t be placed without it.
  • Automatic order holding: orders are placed on “On hold” status until you manually verify the payment, instead of jumping straight to Processing.
  • Instant admin verification: the customer’s submitted reference and chosen method are shown directly on the order screen and in a dedicated Orders list column.
  • Automatic customer communication: payment instructions are shown on the Thank You page and appended to the On-hold and Processing order emails.
  • Polished checkout UI: card-style payment method selection with clean styling, scoped only to the checkout page.
  • Built for compatibility: works with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) and the block-based cart/checkout, and is coded to avoid conflicts with themes, Elementor, or other plugins.

Who is this for?

Store owners in high-risk verticals who need a reliable, review-proof way to collect payments manually while still giving customers a smooth, guided checkout experience.

FAQ

Does this plugin connect to any payment API?

No. All four gateways are fully manual/offline. No card data, tokens, or API credentials are processed or stored by this plugin.

Is it compatible with WooCommerce’s new order storage (HPOS)?

Yes. Compatibility is declared explicitly and all order data is read/written using WooCommerce’s official CRUD methods.

What happens after a customer places an order?

The order is automatically set to “On hold,” stock is reduced, and the cart is emptied. The store owner then manually verifies the payment (e.g. checking their Venmo/PayPal/Zelle account) using the reference the customer submitted, and updates the order status accordingly.

Can I use only some of the four gateways?

Yes, each of the four gateways has its own independent Enable/Disable toggle.
